Indiana Excavating Services was formed in February of 2016 with the combined business of Doug Hare Excavating. Doug Hare, Billy Smith Jr., & Joseph Hollis joined together to build what is now owned by Billy Smith Jr. & Joseph Hollis. When the owners made the decision to start IES, they wanted to be able to provide their clients with the best employees in the excavation industry. All IES field crews are Union Operators & Union Laborers. Utilizing union operators and laborers enables IES to provide quality workmanship to our clients in a safe & efficient manner. Our customers have come to respect and rely on our owners and foremen for their years of experience in the many aspects of the excavation industry.
